Roll Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Graphics Programmer to work in an internal Games Technology Group, as part of this role you would be expected to help lead, design, implement and support areas of the graphics engine. Reporting to the London Studio Game Technology Group Lead the successful candidate would be expected to work closely with the Game Technology Group and game teams to help drive forward the development of the engine. This is an excellent role for someone who is currently managing programmers or looking to move into management areas while still developing technologies.
Responsibilities of role
- Research and develop new techniques or improve existing technologies for use by a number of teams utilising the engine SDK
- Help manage and mentor a small group of graphics programmers within the group
- Represent the graphics team in discussions with game teams
Requirements
- Demonstrate a strong problem solving ability.
- Ability to architect and expand existing graphics technology both at high and low level.
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication and team collaboration skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate a sufficient knowledge and understanding of current real-time graphics techniques.
- Work proactively in identifying current and future requirements of technologies.
Experience
- At least one published game on PS3, XBox360 or PC or equivalent working as a graphics engine programmer
- Experience of C++ essential.
- Experience of current ATI or NVidia hardware essential.
- Shading language - Cg, HLSL or equivalent experience essential
