Roll Overview:
We are looking for talented 3D Animators to join our highly motivated and creative team, working on a new generation of world-class titles. You will breathe life into our game characters, ever trying to push forward the boundaries of realism.

Strong 3DS Max / Character Studio knowledge is requried, along with experience of working with and optimizing motion capture data. Experience of Maya & Motionbuilder would be very advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create high quality 3D animations from a brief, through to export and inclusion into the game, and any relevant troubleshooting/bug fixing.
• Effectively manage scheduled tasks, and report any potential problems or delays to the Art Director and/or Lead Artist
• Contribute effectively to creative discussions.
• Liaise with the senior/technical artists and programmers about problems with or improvements to the asset creation and export pipelines.

Required

• Extensive work on published titles is essential, working with freehand animation implemented directly into 3D game engines.
• Experience in working with and optimizing motion capture data.
• Strong 3DS Max/Maya knowledge is essential. Experience of creating and modifying rigs and weighting is highly advantageous.
• A showreel demonstrating excellent observation of human motion, conveyance of emotion through movement and a broad range of animation disciplines - e.g. from walk cycles to complex freehand animated sequences.
• Must perform well within a collaborative and creative team environment, and also be receptive to direction.
• Strong technical aptitude relating to advanced animation techniques and game engine technologies. A proven track record of working closely with technical artists and programmers to get the most out of animations is desirable.
• An ability to communicate effectively: through storyboard, verbally and/or physically.
• A driving ambition to make the best games you can play.
• Willing to relocate to Leeds, UK area.

Desired

• Experience with using source control systems (eg Alienbrain, Perforce, Source Safe etc).
• Experience with creating and modifying electronic documents, including spreadsheets.
