Our Client seeks a well-respected, well-connected creative and energetic Director of Public Relations to evangelize award winning sports brand and products. ¡§We¡¦re the best at what we do! Are you?¡¨
Founded in 1988, Visual Concepts is widely regarded as one of the industry¡¦s top studios, and is responsible for the full development of the critically-acclaimed 2K Sports line of videogames, including the #1-rated and #1-selling NBA videogame franchise. Visual Concepts is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (TTWO).
SUMMARY:
Develop and manage all communications strategies and programs, as well as directing all public relations activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
„X Lead all US PR efforts for 2K Sports: define media coverage objectives for each product and plan product launches, media interviews, press tours, and events.
„X Collaborate with executives, product managers, developers to develop strategic plans and manage both internal team and external PR firm throughout implementation.
„X Lead and manage development of internal public relations team.
„X Develop relationships with industry media contacts and serve as spokesperson when appropriate.
„X Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and developers.
„X Keep 2K team and executives informed about industry news and monitor perceptions and reviews of 2K products and the 2K Sports brand.
„X Manage product PR budgets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience: Bachelor¡¦s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism and 7+ years of successful, progressively responsible public relations experience, including experience managing an internal PR team and working with PR agencies. Journalism and/or agency background a plus. Videogame industry experience a plus. Sports-specific PR experience highly preferred.
