Roll Overview:
Technical Director required to lead the technical development of a variety of original and licensed video games.

Technical Director Responsibilities:

•Approximately 50% management and 50% hands on programming
•Develops and maintains the technical vision of the game
•Works closely with the Lead Designer, Art Director, Sound Director and Producer
•Contributes to the creative direction of the project
•Coordinates and manages the activities of team members to ensure timely completion and delivery of tasks
•Timely communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external
•Determines technical resources required to complete the project
•Exhibits leadership, motivation and direction to ensure timely delivery of high quality games
•Contributes to company wide technical direction, research and development and innovation
•Conducts annual reviews of direct reports
•Develops strategies for the professional development of all technical team members
Qualifications:

•Must have shipped at least one console title as a Technical Director or two or more titles as a Lead or Senior Programmer
•Have experience with one or more video game consoles including: Wii, Gamecube, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox, or Xbox 360
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to communicate effectively with all project members, senior management and external stakeholders
•Relevant university degree preferably Masters of Computing Science or higher or equivalent experience
•Self motivated, positive problem solving, multi tasking and time management skills
•Expert knowledge of C++ and other computer languages commonly utilized in video game development
