Roll Overview:
Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the integration of cross platform toolsets and engine code.
•Actively communicate with R&D and game teams.
•Oversee and assist with console specific programming and integration tasks on the game team side.
•Represent game team requests and champion solutions to R&D.
•Show a strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games. •Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development. •Work with department leads for continual process improvement.
•Directly responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures.
•Safeguard company assets including source code, art work, tools, game design information and technical know how.
•Takes initiative and is willing to expand own horizon.
•Additional tasks in the area of a Technical Director.
•Report to Executive Management.


Requirements:


•Technical Director on a minimum of 3 shipped titles on a major platform.
•+5 years of gaming industry experience.
•Demonstrated ability to be proactive and self motivated, work without direct supervision, and present the work of the team and the project in a professional manner.
•Demonstrated ability to integrate the creative and technical design processes while ensuring that high production values are never compromised.
•Adopt existing development processes and look for improvements.
•Balance impacts of deadlines and resources against quality requirements of a title and quality of life for staff.
•Passion for making games.

Excellent understanding of:


•Strong technical architecture skills.
•Solid understanding of C++ in a games development environment.
•Deep experience with current Console and PC development processes.
•State-of-the-art game development tools and methods.
•Traditional development models as well as Agile, i.e. Scrum.
•Strategic allocation of resources for maximum effect.
•Potential impact of production-phase change requests on quality, stability, and schedule.
•Design process / methodology and how it is integrated into game production.
