Based in central London, our client is a very successful, international video-computer games, software and home entertainment company. To join their games translation department, they now wish to recruit a French and Spanish speaking Translator to translate computer games from both English and Japanese INTO the mother tongue. Your role will include the following duties and responsibilities: • Translate and localise computer games details, such as in-game text, games manuals and computer games packaging from English and Japanese into your target language of French or Spanish • Check translations before final production To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and background: • To mother tongue standard, as well as good skills in English and Japanese • Have 2/3 years experience already in translation - all industries considered, though experience in computer game translation will be advantageous but not essential • Be able to work quickly to tight deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy • Be able to localise in an effective manner to the target audience • Be able to work over a long period of time for one project • Be flexible enough to adjust to a sudden change of work schedule, unpredictable extra tasks and various restrictions on the text (legal requirements and space limitations, etc.) • General PC skills, especially in Excel Rate is negotiable according to experience
